Director of Admission and Financial Aid

About

Cheryl Plummer has been serving as the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at Greenwich Country Day School since 2015. Cheryl began her career in 1995 as an Assistant Director of Admission and varsity field hockey and lacrosse coach at her high school alma mater, Colorado Academy (CO). Following CA, Cheryl stepped into the role of Director of Admission and Financial Aid at The Madeira School (VA) and later was appointed Director of Admission at St. John’s School (TX). In addition to her enrollment experience in independent schools, Cheryl has been on the “other side” having worked in secondary school placement at KIPP, Lynn (MA) and the KIPP Foundation. Passionate about access and educational equity, Cheryl feels privileged to lead her school’s financial aid program opening doors for students for whom independent school would be otherwise unattainable.

When not in the admission office, Cheryl enjoys coaching lacrosse and spending time with her husband and labrador puppy, Gibson. Cheryl holds a B.A. in Political Science from Smith College and an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
