Eric Barber

Director of Enrollment Management


Eric has a wealth of experience in school enrollment and admission, as well as strategic thinking, access and inclusion work, and change management. As Crossroads’ inaugural director of enrollment management, Eric has designed and implemented a strategic enrollment management (SEM) model which integrates the recruitment, marketing, admission, financial aid, enrollment and retention functions of the school.

Eric is passionate about the health and vitality of independent schools and the admission/enrollment profession. He is the co-chair of the EMA Admission Leadership Council and member of the EMA Character Task Force, and was the co-founder of the Seattle admission consortium Puget Sound Independent Schools.

Eric was most recently the director of admission and enrollment management at the Evergreen School in Seattle, Washington and prior to that the associate director of admissions and outreach coordinator at Lakeside School. He is a professional saxophonist, Thai cook, and cherishes time with his wife and two teenagers. Eric holds a B.A in music from the University of Oregon and a MFA from the California Institute for the Arts in jazz and African-American Music.
